a chance to indulge in a little entertainment along the way. For
2019, the Atlanta International Auto Show had several tricks
up its sleeve, ranging from character appearances to a display
featuring a very special, historical vehicle. Black Panther and
SpongeBob SquarePants were on-hand, giving kids of all ages
(adults included) a chance to grab a photo with each. There were
smiles all around as the two greeted attendees in the C lobby
of the Georgia World Congress Center. On Saturday, they were
joined by Buzz from Georgia Tech and Scrappy from Kennesaw
State University.
Meanwhile, those walking the main show floor
were treated to an exhibit of GM Futurliner #10, one
of twelve created for GM’s Parade of Progress Tour
that spanned the late 1930s to mid-1950s. It’s sheer
size and Art Deco styling captivated show-goers as
they explored it, inside and out. Last but not least,
Caffeine and Octane was back with their amazing
display of classics, customs, exotics and more, which
included the 2019 McLaren Senna, a million-dollar
supercar capable of speeds nearing 220 mph!
The cars weren’t the only stars. Chipper Jones of Atlanta
Braves fame made an appearance in the Caffeine
and Octane display, while Vince Carter of the
Atlanta Hawks met with fans courtesy of Kia
Motors.
With the 2019 show behind us, we’re already
working on the show for 2020, which is scheduled
February 26th thru March 1st at the GWCC. For updates,
