MAADA’s New Car & Truck Dealers

                               Community Ser vice

The Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association is made
up of over 140 franchised new car and truck dealers, providing
By J.W. Southwick training in the various aspects of day-to-day dealership operations. Additionally,
      Director of Marketing
& Social Media we produce the Atlanta International Auto Show, an Atlanta tradition with roots
MAADA dating back to the early 1900s. But that’s not all that we do.

Each year, the MAADA supports a variety of charitable organizations and other community programs, in an effort to
improve the lives of others who are our neighbors. Whether its programs designed to help those who face a variety of
developmental and health challenges, or supporting the efforts of technical students and young athletes, the members
of the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association have stepped up to pitch in, contributing well over $1 million to
area charities in the last ten years. These are worthwhile charities that do great things in our community, and we wanted
to highlight them for you here in On the Move.

      CAMP TWIN LAKES
Established in 1993, Camp Twin Lakes provides facilities to support camp programs for children with
serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. Its founder, Doug Hertz, recognized those
needs and stepped up to get the ball rolling. Twenty-six years later, a network of over sixty closely-
aligned partner organizations, powered by Camp Twin Lakes, exists to serve children all over the
      Metro Atlanta area.
Camps are operated year-round in Rutledge, Winder, Warm Springs, and through “Camp-to-Go”
programs at children’s hospitals and other locations around the state. It takes a lot of hard work by
dedicated individuals to keep these camps running. And it’s all worth it. Every bit. When you visit
these camps, you’re immediately struck by the joy they generate, both on the faces of the campers
and the volunteers there to serve them.

               10,000 campers served
               3,500 volunteers

70% of camp costs subsidized by Camp Twin Lakes

Camp activities include climbing towers, ropes courses, horseback riding,
swimming, boating and more. Most importantly, there’s an outpouring of
love and compassion between counselors and campers that’s invaluable.
These camps are special places, indeed.
Each Fall, the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association sponsors the Camp Twin Lakes Partner’s
Card program, enabling consumers to save 20% on purchases at a wide range of retailers around the
Atlanta area when they purchase a card. Consumers can also add donations to their card purchases.
