A secure future for our communities requires a solid investment in our youth. This
philosophy is what drives the members of the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers
Association to support the charities we do, those who recognize just how important
young people are to our future. Here’s a look at the organizations the MAADA is currently
supporting.
Toys for Tots
The history of the U.S. Marine Corps dates back to 1775, and since then they have been known for two key
philosophies: having the backs of their fellow soldiers and never backing down from a fight. Those philos-
ophies also guide the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in their mission to ensure that our nation’s less fortunate
children have something to smile about at Christmas.
Each year, volunteers around the area and partner organizations, such as the dealer members of MAADA,
join forces with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and
Atlanta Toys for Tots to collect new, unwrapped
toys from October through December. And while
the primary goal of the program is the distribu-
tion of those toys to kids in need, there’s anoth-
er goal, which is to bring a message of hope,
encouraging these youngsters to become re-
sponsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
In 2020, Toys for Tots distributed 727,814
toys, supporting 363,907 children. This
year, the MAADA is looking forward to
once again supporting the U.S. Marine
Corps Reserve’s efforts.
