e came, we saw, and we made it happen! The 39th
WAnnual Atlanta International Auto Show is in the books,
and it was no easy feat pulling it off with COVID-19 continuing
to wreak havoc around the country. With the situation trending
in a positive direction here in Georgia, other parts of
the United States faced many more challenges, and
those challenges impacted the Atlanta event. But the
MAADA felt it was important to press on, providing
consumers the opportunity to check out the latest
new offerings from participating automakers, and
also giving families a chance to experience a sense
of normal, once again.
The biggest impact on the 2021 show was on the
number of manufacturers able to participate. The
overall scale was certainly smaller, and that was a
direct result of the various challenges presented
by COVID. The availability of display properties
was significantly impacted, and the ongoing chip
shortage didn’t help the situation, either. Despite all of that,
the show floor was awash with a wide range of vehicles, from
sports cars to sport utilities, and engine options ranging from
battery-electrics to big V8s.
There were several exciting debuts that attracted a lot of
attention. The new Ford Bronco was on hand, resurrecting
the legendary nameplate after a long absence from the
